  • Airfix Commonwealth Ca-13 Boomerang 1/72
Airfix Commonwealth Ca-13 Boomerang kitset, 1/72 scale.

An aircraft which has often been described as 'Australia's panic fighter', the decision to build the indigenous Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Boomerang came in the wake of continued Japanese aggression in the Pacific and the need to ensure a continuous future supply of new fighters for the RAAF. By using many sections and components from existing aircraft types under construction in Australia, the first Boomerang was produced just sixteen weeks after the original design decision was made and 250 of these diminutive fighters would eventually be produced. Possessing excellent low altitude performance, the Boomerang would often be used to mark targets for ground attack Corsairs during the latter stages of WWII, a role which earned the distinctive little aircraft the nickname 'Smoky Joe'.

  • T-34B
After WWII, the US military recognized a need for a cost effective 'higher performance' aircraft capable of good speed and maneuverability with gentle flight characteristics to train new pilots. Funding was scarce, so the U.S. military turned to Beechcraft Aviation to modify their successful Bonanza into a tandem seat military trainer. The resulting Mentor proved to be a very successful design which was ultimately used by the United States Air Force and the United States Navy. The T-34 A/B Mentor series ceased production in 1959. Now retired from US military, many examples of this successful design can still be seen in flight today under private ownership.

This new release of the U.S. Navy T-34B includes a clear stand and unique markings for a striking US Navy Mentor and choice of markings for two T-34B aircraft in U.S. Navy service.

  • VC-9C (Air Force 1 - USA) - Mach 2 - 1/72
This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit, 1/72 scale.

The DC-9 is a twin-engine small jet airliner that first flew in 1965, and the -30 type is a definitive model that entered service in 1967; over 600 of this version were produced. The -30 type has the fuselage of the -10 extended by 4.55 meters, increasing the maximum takeoff weight to 55 tons, and changing the engine to the JT8D-9 type or JT8D-11 type (thrust 64kN and 67kN respectively). In addition, by adding leading edge slats to the main wing, the stall characteristics during takeoff and landing have been improved, making stable takeoff and landing possible. This machine was adopted by the U.S. military as the C-9.

This model kit from Mach 2 Models is a completely new mold! It builds into a replica of "Air Force 1," the aircraft reserved for use by the President of the United States. Order yours today!

  • Star Trek: The Original Series -
This is an injection-plastic kit of a science-fiction item.

The first season of "Star Trek: The Original Series" often encountered with super-men like Khan Noonien Singh and dangerous aliens like the Gorn, but an encounter with a "normal" man held the greatest risk of wiping the U.S.S. Enterprise and her crew from existence. The episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" presented the first foray into the sci-fi sub-genre of time travel with the Enterprise and crew finding themselves in then-modern day 1966. Detected by the United States Air Force, an F-104 Starfighter piloted by Captain John Christopher was sent to intercept. It fell on Captain Kirk and crew to erase all evidence of their own appearance and return Capt. Christopher back to his duties without any recollection of the encounter.

This detailed F-104 Starfighter model kit comes with multiple armament options and includes screen-accurate marking details. The included small-scale U.S.S. Enterprise is perfect to use for creating a forced-perspective diorama. All marking decals and a display base are included for the Enterprise model as well. Illustrated assembly instructions assist in building the kit.
